This year we’ve teamed up with the Sue Ryder Care – Wheatfields Hospice in Headingly, taking part in their Treecycle scheme which has helped local residents recycle their used and unwanted Christmas trees.

Our teams contributed and supported the hospice by chipping over 300 trees. Not only did the scheme raise funds for a very important cause, all of the chippings were recycled and repurposed as compost or mulch.

Alex Colbourne, Assistant Director of Operations, said: “I am proud to see our team supporting a great cause through this Christmas tree chipping initiative. Giving back to the community is what it’s all about.”

Partnering with local communities and delivering sustainable practices is a critical element of our service delivery, and we’re looking forward to supporting other events throughout this year and beyond.
