Sustainability
Sustainability isn’t a nice-to-have. It shapes how we plan, operate and grow. We’re here to leave a positive legacy, improving green spaces for generations to come.
We’ll work with you to embed sustainable practices from day one, whether that’s in design, maintenance or operations. We’re cultivating a greener future without compromising future generations.
Low Carbon Initiatives
Without vehicles, we cannot complete our work. However, what we can do is ensure that the vehicles we do use have as little environmental impact as possible.
This is why we have a regular, active transport review policy, designed specifically to lower fuel usage, cut pollution and reduce overall carbon footprint. We promote car sharing where possible, and focus our investments in low-emission vehicles. As of 2025, we achieved carbon neutrality, supported by our ISO 14064-1 accreditation.
Integrated Weed Control
Chemical weed treatments can inadvertently damage your local ecosystems. We’ve reduced our dependence on chemical treatments by using cultural controls, such as mulching, soil barriers and manual cultivation, to name a few.
We also have integrated heat and foam-based chemical free methods for hard surfaces. We’ll tailor our weed control approach to meet your unique site-specific requirements, meaning healthier soil, reduced chemical runoff and a safer environment for wildlife, pets and people.
Biodiversity
A better understanding of biodiversity not only helps us improve our services, it helps us improve our conservation efforts, sustainable development, and environmental management.
Building on key principles such as the mitigation hierarchy and biodiversity net gain, we harvest a healthy relationship with nature, ensuring that ecosystems remain resilient and can flourish alongside the services we deliver. Our partners and supply chain play an important role in our biodiversity objectives and we work closely to integrate, embed and implement planning across our network.
Resource & waste efficiency
All of our teams are trained in proper waste management. We manage energy and water usage carefully, use materials sustainably, maintain optimum stock levels of supplies and recycle or reuse wherever possible. We expect the same from our supply chain.
This means that, as your supplier, we are able to help you as you strive to meet your ongoing climate targets, all while reducing waste and keeping costs down as a result.
Energy and Carbon management
Working smarter to reduce our energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Sustainable communities
Our staff are trained to very high standards. We share our knowledge and expertise with local friends groups and volunteers to make all of our work more sustainable.
Providing horticultural and biodiversity focussed tips and tricks to volunteers who want to engage with our work is a common theme across our contracts, which helps ensure consistent contract delivery. Through specialist-led education, biosecurity protocols, and a company-wide volunteer policy, we are all able to contribute to our ultimate biodiversity aims.
Sustainability in projects
Sustainability runs through everything that we do. We promote greening initiatives across all aspects of our work.
Delivering services sustainably is a key component of our success. We support our partners with the management and improvement of their green spaces, and we are always looking to protect, conserve and enhance biodiversity in the specific projects we undertake, and across our work more generally.
Sustainability in business
Our business practices are aligned with ISO20400.
Sustainability in business is about more than just green initiatives. We ensure environmental, social and governance factors are accounted for in our purchasing decisions, as well as the entire life cycle of good and services, rather than focusing on the initial cost. We also consider how our decision making will contribute to the economic, social and environmental benefits of society as a whole, and expect the same from our wider supply chain.
