Project requirements
We have recently been supporting our customer, Cherwell District Council, working in partnership to help them deliver some town centre improvements.
We were required to source, deliver, and assemble a series of large, modern planters and concrete cube seats.
The aim of the project was to bring some colour to the town centre, but also to add some new, and modern features to the town centre for local people to enjoy.
What we did
We first needed arrange and place the planters in suitable locations. We used over 20 tonnes of topsoil and compost to fill the planters, and once filled, we allowed them to settle before being topped and planted.
Our customer requested Lavender and Acanthus Mollis (Bear's Breeches) and we're really excited to see how these plants establish and grow.
The team completed the planting and installation within a couple of days, ensuring the seats and displays were securely fitted and well presented.
Outcomes we delivered
The collaboration once again proved a success, with the new displays enhancing the town centre, creating a beautiful, modern display.
For us, it also demonstrated the value of collaboration, giving our teams an opportunity to be involved in something a little bit different, and to strengthen our relationships with our customer, Cherwell District Council, local residents, and partners.
We’re proud to have supported the initiative and are really pleased with the results for what was a challenging task for our teams. We hope our customer and the local residents enjoy the results as much as we do.
